Lost & Found: The Art of Finding

Some things you don’t know you’re looking for until you find them. That’s the idea behind Lost & Found, the project we created at Estudio Fe for City of Miami Beach and VML: an invitation to discover Miami Beach’s arts and culture through a little story.

At a lost-and-found stand, Lorenzo, our attendant, welcomes people searching for something. But this is no ordinary lost and found: the clues lead to the city’s music, art, theater, and history.

Built around a two-minute script, the campaign takes the form of a short film, blending cinematic storytelling with advertising. The aim is to spark curiosity, charm audiences, and introduce residents and visitors to a cultural scene many have yet to discover in Miami Beach.

We took an old-school approach to filming, with real elements in front of the camera. Yes, even the butterflies. For the closing sequence, we turned the cultural institutions into illustrations, each brought to life through beautiful frame-by-frame animation.

We’re proud to have created this project with a team that poured so much talent and care into every detail. Now it’s your turn to find your next inspiration.
