Beyond the Frame: The Creative World Behind Miami Beach: Lost & Found
A look behind the scenes of Miami Beach: Lost & Found directed by Javiera Eyzaguirre, exploring the creative process, production details, and Cel Castella’s illustrations that bring a new perspective to the city's iconic landmarks.

There is always another story unfolding behind the camera. In Miami Beach: Lost & Found, that story extends beyond the film itself, revealing a creative process shaped by illustration, imagination, and a different way of looking at a familiar city.
Directed by Javiera Eyzaguirre for Miami Beach’s Find Your Wonder campaign, the project sets out to uncover a side of Miami that goes beyond its postcard image. Art, culture, architecture, and unexpected encounters become part of a visual universe that invites us to look a little closer.
One of the ways this universe comes to life is through a series of illustrations by Cel Castella, who reimagines some of Miami's most iconic locations through her own artistic perspective. More than a behind-the-scenes detail, the illustrations offer a different interpretation of the city, connecting its recognizable landmarks with the imaginative spirit of the campaign.
The backstage also reveals the thinking and craft behind the production: the creative decisions that shaped the beachside booth, the visual language of the film, and the challenges of filming in an ever-changing outdoor environment. Working with limited beach shooting hours meant making the most of every lighting opportunity, ultimately inspiring the interplay between the illuminated booth and the landscape surrounding it.
These glimpses behind the frame offer a broader perspective on the project, celebrating not only the final images but also the ideas, artistic contributions, and production details that make them possible.
Because sometimes, the most interesting discoveries happen behind the scenes.
